Description
|
AVID has been implemented in order to provide supplemental instruction to New Brunswick high school and middle school students in preparation for entry into a four-year undergraduate institutions. Goals include ensuring competitive term grades, increasing the level of performance in all academic concentrations, and increasing student placement into college-level mathematics, English, and science courses upon matriculation into undergraduate studies.
Sessions are held twice per week at New Brunswick High School for approximately 20 weeks during the academic year; the populations served are students in the middle of their classes with B/C grade-point averages.
